Mountains and oceans apart, we come from two different states, seemingly two different worlds, different cultures, and even different languages.
On paper, we had almost nothing in common. What began as a simple work chat slowly turned into a rendezvous, and somewhere along the way, we discovered that our similarities were few but our curiosity for each other was endless.
Mohit travels to discover landscapes; I travel to discover cuisines.
He learns by experimenting; I prefer guided learning.
He loves technology; I love the feel of paperback.
We are differently similar
Over the years, we’ve learned that even the most ordinary moments turn rainbowey 🌈 when we’re together.
There’s an ease, a warmth, and a constant reassurance that we stand as equals, often with roles delightfully reversed, as Mohit cooks with swag and shops with saint-level patience, while I help navigate our work and financial decisions.
We lift each other
What was intimidating for us once is a space of shared comfort today
He finds peace sitting by the sea, while I discover ikigai amidst the mountains.
He savours Dahi Bara, and I’ve fallen for Kaafal.
He speaks his own version of Odia when I end my sentences with बल.
He does 'Mundiya' and I do 'Pranam'
He is a die-hard Mahaprabhu Jagannath's fan… and
